Here you find all the answers you’ve been craving. If you have a question which isn’t answered below, make a post on the forum or get in contact with us.

How do I sign up for newsletters?

All Livesoc members receive the newsletter by default. If you don't want to receive it, go to your settings page and uncheck the box. You can subsequently resubscribe by going back and checking the box.

How come I haven't been receiving the newsletter?

Could be any of the following:

1. you have unsubscribed – check your settings page
2. the email address we have on file for you is out of date – that’s on the settings page too
3. we haven't been sending any newsletters recently
4. they're not getting delivered to you for some reason. Send the webmonkey an email and he'll look into it.

How can I get more involved in Livesoc?

Turning up to any of our events is the best way to meet other musicians. Make sure you've filled in your musician's profile so that you can pass the link on to potential bandmates and so that other musicians can find you.

Also, we are always grateful to anyone who wishes to get involved in the committee and help us run the various events – just email us and offer!

What's the guitar in the logo?

That's one of Bart's Ibanez Radius guitars. The Radius is no longer in production but its body shape (in a slightly modified form) is used for the Joe Satriani signature series of guitars.

Who are the band on the site banner and on the hoodies?

It's mostly people from Livesoc – or at least that was the idea.

From left to right, there's Dennis on bass (but with Tim's legs), Bart on guitar (the same guitar, incidentally, as is in the logo), Sam sitting at Adam from The Livid's drums and holding Bart's brother's sticks, James's housemate with Justin from The Livid's arm and mic, Arman on guitar and finally Bart's brother's bandmate Dan on keys.
